PrayerTube.com is a site idea that came to the president of Divinity Resources, Joe Bell, at 3:00 pm on Good Friday 2007. As he told the Development Director, Cris Thomas, they both got chills all over their bodies, and knew this was an idea given by God!
Just about everyone has a hurt, habit, or hang up he or she could use prayer for.
It may be that they or a family member are dealing with cancer, aids, or some other kind of physical illness. It could be the death of a loved one, financial difficulties, childhood trauma, divorce, rape, etc. And that’s just the beginning. Millions of men, women, and children are starving, or facing persecution for being a Christian. Let’s face it drugs, alcohol, violence, and sins of every nature run rampant all over the world. If you think about it I’m sure you probably know how bad it is! People all over the world really do need all the prayer they can get!
James 5:15-16 says, “The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
God is all-powerful and He does answer prayer!
PrayerTube.com allows people to make a short video asking for prayer or giving praise to the power and glory of God. Then people all over the world can watch those videos, pray for the ones who need it, or see the ones who have had miracles and answered prayer in their lives. What a wonderfully powerful way to witness to people next door or across the globe! Especially the children and teenagers out surfing the web that could be exposed to pornography, predators, or just bad content!
2 Corinthians 1:11 says, “And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because GOD has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.”
Psalm 66:20 says, “Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.”
Imagine the power of an archived video record of praise for miracles GOD has done in people's lives. The possibilities are unlimited!
Other Tube Facts
With millions of members and over 70 million video clips hosted on YouTube.com, it is no doubt that there is a huge growing demand that leads to more and more people viewing online videos. Some good some if not most bad.
In fact, a recent study of U.S. Internet user behavior found that almost a third of users have uploaded something homemade onto the Internet and that includes video clips.
Google recently bought Youtube.com for $1.65 billion. That’s the best proof that video sharing is the hottest online market at this moment.
With your help we can use this type of technology to help people ask for prayer from people all over the world, and give praise to the glory of GOD. PrayerTube.com has unlimited potential to spread the gospel and help people get prayer they wouldn't otherwise get. Plus churches and Christian organizations can also use the videos for many different purposes. But not without your help.
